Civitella Alfedena is a land of wolves and wildcats. It’s a Medieval village in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. It’s located at 1000 metres of altitude and there’ a high number of animals. When you reach Civitella, a TCI (Italian Touring Club) orange flag, you are impressed by the harmony that features this place with its Medieval architecture and its amazing natural environment. It’s an active tourist destination near the ski facilities of the Godi and the Pescasseroli pass three kilometres from lake Barrea, an artificial basin that is not far from the characteristic village of Villetta Barrea and seven kilometres from the Natural Reserve of Camosciara and its forest that belongs to the Unesco Heritage. Civitella is on the Marsican Mountains that are featured by steep terrains and a wild natural landscape that is very well preserved where the forests of beeches are inhabited by the Marsican bear, the deer and the wolves.
